JH Soccer Practices have changed for next week. The new times are Monday, 8/10 through Friday, 8/14 from 2:00 until 3:30 at the school.

The IVVC school year officially begins Thursday, August 13... bus leaves at 11:35am!… no, that’s not actually our bus. We just wish ours had that much aura.

EELC update! Here are the pictures from today, the rest of the furniture and materials will be placed next week. They are still in use in our current building. We have very limited space available, if you want your child to attend email Amy ASAP aschultz@earlville9.org We are so excited!

Red Raider Nation HS Cheet will have an open gym and uniform tryouts this week in the Junior High Gym.

Our custodians are hard at work preparing for the new school year. The halls are being waxed this week, so the floors are off limits. You can still get in ... 🤍the main office through the front door. ❤️ the weightroom through the technology lab 🤍 the gym through the outside doors ❤️Summer Daycare through the back door 🤍 EELC is operating as normal The parking lots will be painted this week as well, please watch for the signs for closed areas. Thank you for your flexibility!

Save the date!!! We hope you can visit and see all the great things happening at the school. This is a great opportunity to not only tour the school and prepare for the new year but also see what other options Earlville has to offer. It takes a village, and Earlville is the best!

Earlville Police Department introduces our first Therapy Dog, Luna. Luna is a 3 month Shih Tzu and has a bit of growing to do. Luna will be with her handler, Officer Felecia Rasmussen and she will be assigned to the school with Officer Felecia. We would like to thank the Lions Club for their amazing donation to help us with getting Luna and paying for her training classes. We would also like to thank Tri County Vet for taking care of all Luna’s Vet care. Also thank you to Allycia White for taking care of her grooming needs. All of these are being donated by them and we thank you so very much. Thank you to Peru PD Officer/SRO Brian Zebron for assisting Officer Felecia with getting all the required things done in order to have Luna. Thank you to the Earlville City Council and Earlville School Board for approving this new addition. Luna’s job will start on August 17th at Back To School Night and she will continue her training while doing her job. A lot of people have questions about what her job will be. This is a list of her jobs and we have had so many kids already that said they can’t wait to come to school and are very excited.  Reduce Anxiety: Petting a dog lowers cortisol and increases oxytocin, calming nervous or overwhelmed students. Build Reading Confidence: Children practice reading aloud to non-judgmental dogs, which removes the fear of making mistakes. De-escalate Meltdowns: Dogs offer grounding sensory comfort to students experiencing panic attacks or emotional crises. Improve Attendance: The anticipation of seeing a school dog motivates chronically absent students to attend classes. Boost Social Skills: Dogs act as social icebreakers, helping isolated students connect with peers and counselors. Support Crisis Recovery: Handlers deploy dogs after school tragedies to provide immediate trauma relief and grief support.

Fall Practice Schedules are out!

ALL ATHLETES MUST HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL

JH Golf
Practices: All practices will be held at the Earlville Country Club
Monday, 8/3 and Tuesday, 8/4--3:30-5:00
First match is Thursday, 8/6 at Oak Ridge Golf Club beginning at 4:00 pm. They
will travel by bus from the school leaving at 2:45.
All players will need their own set of clubs.

JH Softball--Parent Meeting, Friday, 7/24 4:00 pm in the JH Gym
Practices: The first week will all be held at the High School Softball Field
Thursday, 7/30-August 12th--4:00-5:30
All players will need their own gloves and black softball pants.

JH Soccer
Practice: The first week of practices will be held on the side soccer field.
Monday, 8/10-Friday, 8/14--3:30-5:00
All players will need soccer cleats, black soccer socks, and shin guards.

HS Golf
Practices: All practices will be held at the Earlville Country Club
Monday, 8/10--Wednesday 8/12 1:00-2:30; Thursday, 8/13 &
Friday, 8/14--9:30-11:00
Volleyball players will arrive after practice.
All players will need their own set of clubs.

HS Volleyball
Practices: All practices will be held in the High School Gym.
Monday, 8/10 9:00--11:30; Tuesday, 8/11--No practice; Wednesday, 8/12--
3:30-5:30; Thursday, 8/14 & Friday, 8/15--8:00-10:00
All players will need their own knee pads and athletic shoes.
