Attention Jr High Girls Basketball Fans: Our JH Girls BB team is the largest in the Junior Ten Conference. We are currently the only team that has the ability to field an entire 6th grade squad. While this limits the number of minutes for each player in a game, this is still a good problem to have. To solve the issue of athletes playing only a few minutes per game, we have decided to incorporate a scrimmage for the 6th graders at all remaining HOME games. This will allow the athletes a 10 minute running clock as opposed to just a couple of minutes per night in a 7th grade game. Here at Earlville, we want to encourage as many students as possible to continue to develop athletically, because we know nationally, students that are in activities have higher GPA's, less attendance issues, and reduced rates of discipline. We understand the drawbacks as well, but feel this is in the best interest of the students who chose to participate. Thank you for supporting our kids and continuing to show up for games to cheer on Earlville. Go Red Raiders.
