Cafeteria Community Information

The primary mission of the Department of Food Services is to support the educational environment by providing balanced, nutritional meals to our students each day. Our entire staff is committed to offering a wide variety of meals that meet not only the nutritional needs, but also satisfy the wide ranging taste requirements of our students. We endeavor to provide this service in a clean, safe, student-friendly setting. Our staff is accessible and happy to answer questions or respond to concerns and/or suggestions of students, parents and staff.

Cafeteria Information

Breakfast and lunch will begin on the first full day of school. Earlville School District will be participating in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. Funds must be deposited into student's lunch account prior to the first day of school.

Students/Parents/Guardians. Funds can be paid in advance via Illinois JetPay or through the school office with a check (if allowable) or cash. Funds should be maintained in accounts to minimize the possibility that a child may be without meal money on any given day.

School cafeteria possess computerized point of sale/cash register system that maintain records of all monies deposited and spent for each student and said records are available via Skyward Family/Student Access.

Federal Meal Service Lunch Applications

National School Lunch Program free/reduced applications are available for download here: Household Eligibility Application & Instructions<insert doc here> or can be picked up in the school office. Households that are directly certified through the State of Illinois SNAP/TANF program will receive letters stating such, therefore will have no need to complete an application.

Households not directly certified are encouraged to apply for free/reduced priced meals at any time during the school year. Households are responsible for meal payments until benefits are issued. Applications not submitted and approved prior to the start of the school year are subject to meal charges to student's account that are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.Funds must be deposited into student's lunch account prior to the first day of school unless notification has been received stating approval to the program has been given

Meal Service

Breakfast students who commute to school by any means other then bus should plan to arrive no later then 7:45 A.M. to allow enough time to finish eating before the first bell at 8:00 A.M.

Students planning to have lunch are required to order lunch the first hour in the their classroom.

Breakfast Hours Monday - Friday while school is in session 7:30 - 8:00 am.

Lunch Hours Monday - Friday while school is in session 11:15 am- 12:45 pm

Smart Snacks and Entree (A La Carte) Items will be offered daily to students. Student must have money on their lunch accounts in order to make purchases.

All items sold A La Carte meet the required guidelines of being Smart Snack.
